Our Mission

The US HAEA Angioedema Center’s mission is to translate promising scientific discoveries into new and better options for the diagnosis and treatment of all types of angioedema.

Our unique “bench-to-bedside” approach to angioedema research and patient care supports the broadest range of angioedema activities in the US. From research in genetics to the most advanced treatments, the Angioedema Center is at the forefront of angioedema research, developing promising new therapies and making them available to angioedema patients not only in the US, but throughout the world.

Our model for providing patient care features a multidisciplinary team who work together to determine the best treatment options available for each patient. Patients decide along with their physician on the best course of treatment for them.

Our Facility

ln 2014, the Angioedema Center dedicated its new home on the campus of UC San Diego at 8899 University Center Lane. The facility works in tandem with UC San Diego’s nearby research laboratories, facilitating clinical trials, and clinical care.

This beautiful facility was designed with you and your family in mind. Our aim is to provide personalized care to every patient. The Angioedema Center is for outpatient treatment only. Treatment that requires more advanced medical care will be provided outside of the Center in conjunction with UC San Diego.
